Longtime a graphic designer, some years ago I discovered a marvellous material which has been with me ever since; ‘paper’.
In fact, I take great pleasure folding, creasing, wrinkling, crumpling, smoothing, tearing, heating this ‘material’ in order to restore its substance and apparent fragility for behind a seemingly evident lightness there lies, in fact, real strength.
So, I play with the effects of light, shadow, transparency, obscurity, density… and even though the production method is the same, each lamp, individually hand-made, has its own personality and is, therefore, unique.
